Weigh in: Seattle’s Worst?

Seattle’s Best Coffee, a subsidiary of Starbucks, unveiled their new logo…

Fast Company says the new logo is bland…the “typeface says nothing”…but what do you think? From a promotions perspective, this new logo would look great branded on…well, just about anything. It’s only 2 colours, and could still be easily legible even scaled down to be very small. It’s crisp and clean, and modern.

From a branding perspective…was the old Seattle’s Best logo ready to retire? Were the masses yearning for something more, something new? What’s your take on the new design? Weigh in in the comments below.

Welcome to…the Pantone Hotel?

If you’re a designer, you know what Pantone is. It is particular and exact; it is a staple to design and corporate branding. Well, our beloved Pantone is now trying to become…well, more popular among regular consumers. The first step in their new strategy is the Pantone Hotel in Brussels, located in a very chic part of town. Each of the 59 rooms in the hotel are inspired by a Pantone colour palette.
